Heard about this place a while ago and most stated it is recommended for traditional
Belgian cuisine.
We came here in a Saturday evening for an early dinner, no reservation.. after a random walk around the Grand Place in mid April 2012. It’s a small but popular restaurant in the heart of Mons, so it quickly filled with the locals.

No wonder it is amongst top places to eat in town. Menu is simple,
like home-cooked food in reasonable price. For the entrée, I ordered a very tasty
escargot in rich and savoury herbs sauce and he opted for croquettes au fromage.
For the main dish, I feel like I needed to try the local specialty, Côte de porc à l'berdouille.
This is a very classic dish of the Montois. But
I’d say, it’s not for everyone. The mustard seemed too
strong for my taste. So I had the Dame blanche for dessert to give a sweet
memory of the meal. It's basically vanilla ice cream topped with whipped
cream, served with warm molten dark chocolate.
We’re looking forward to taste other traditional Belgian dishes in this
restaurant for our next visit.
