The opening night of Mons 2015 is all about illuminations and lights
and it was no surprise that the Belfry is also illuminate since January 4, 2015.
Prince Charming was told me about this before the big night, so I ran
to see it from the window and there it is.. beautifully sparkle!
Beside the Belfry, on the opening night they also installed chandeliers
in some spots. We’re not actually impressed, since we’ve seen the concept a
month ago when visiting Christmas Market in Strasbourg and there were Baccarat’s
chandeliers hung in Carré d'Or area.
The Baroque gem and a UNESCO world heritage
site, the Belfry shines a thousand lights and can be seen from miles away. Thanks
to innovative lighting installations, it will be the lighthouse that will guide
visitors to Mons throughout the year.
