It’s ARSONIC, not ‘arsenic’,
unless this music and listening venue is both an enchanting poison and the
antidote that relieves it. That’s how we can be healed through sound.
The former fire station in the
Rue de Nimy 138 has been transformed by architects Holoffe & Vermeersch with exceptional acoustics. The Arsonic concert hall, specialising in
chamber music, can hold an audience of 250 and fills a gap in the Walloon
region. All kinds of music and poetry will flourish here. The hall’s excellent
acoustic and its state-of-the-art equipment will make it suitable for
high-precision recordings. We will be able to find tranquillity in exhibitions
in its Passage of Rumours and in the quiet of the Chapel of Silence, freely
accessible (from 10.30 am to 4.30 pm on weekdays).
This Listening Centre (Maison
de l’Ecoute), invites everyone to deep listening
music, sounds, words.. More than just a concert hall, it is a haven of
peace to escape from the frenzy of everyday life.
