I’ve
been wanting to taste the bagels at this place for months, located literally
only few steps away from the Grand Place.
Often
took a peek inside but it almost always empty though the looks quite inviting.
On
July 22, 2016 I decided to have a take away lunch to enjoy the beautiful summer
at a nearby park. So I ordered a Grand Nord bagel with smoked salmon, chives,
rucola, tomato, chopped onion and fresh cheese (4.80 EUR) and a refreshing
drink of watermelon juice with aloe vera in a bottle (2.50 EUR). If we order any
food, drink will be discounted 50 cents.
This
place owned by friendly Belgian and Italian guys who love to travel. They’ve
been visiting America, Asia, Middle East, etc. So what they have here pretty
much inspired from their travel.
To
me, the bagel didn’t meet any of my expectations. I just don’t find anything so
special in it, except how they prepared it and the fresh ingredients. But I might come back to try the buns next time.
*Update: they also served Seattle's Best Coffee, the closest thing to Starbucks in Mons.
