I got the pink pin from Maison du Tourisme (free and they have many colors) and I bought the green dragon on the street.

Hat
Seen many people wear it. I don't know maybe it looks cool for hang out and party.
Got this cute hat from the kid's section at H&M. But there are also some guys on the street who sell party/ festival supplies from balloons to crazy eyewear.
Red-white
The easiest choice and what most people wear, the red-white (colors of municipal flag of Mons) bracelet or similar to a lanyard (with or without whistle and some also put it as decoration inside their cars).
Boots and handy umbrella
Leave your nice shoes at home and wear the least favorite ones. Streets are dirty during the event, from the sticky beer spills, horse dung and particularly muddy around the famous Battle of Lumeçon on Sunday at the Grand Place.
If you don't like to carry an umbrella, a hoodie jacket will also help. It's prohibited to open the umbrella during the battle.
And of course.. jacket is a must!
