75th Anniversary of the Liberation of Mons

August 31 – September 1, 2019

On September 2, 1944 the Allied troops began the liberation of Belgium from German occupation. The first Belgian city to be declared free by the US Army was Mons. 

It was was the beginning of the end of the Second World War.
