Waffles & Go

I was around the area when this place opened on June 11, 2019 before the Doudou.
People were queueing for their bubble waffle at Rue d'Havré 5.
I bet they were excited to taste different kind of waffles, not just the classic Belgian ones.

This egg/ Hong Kong waffle hype was happening about five years ago in my home country.
Gosh, it’s sooo half a decade ago!
*LOL

During the week of an early summer heatwave (June 26, 2019), I was looking for a place to cool off.. and ended up here.
For a not-so-big space, they installed 2 ACs.. and yeah it was a saviour in the middle of the day.

Service was quick. We just needed to choose the sweet bubble or savoury. Paid in cash.
While enjoying the cool breeze, sitting in a sofa directly in front of the AC, minutes later two guys from the kitchen brought my order, with no cutlery and tissue.

Had the savoury La Montoise (without topping/ additional 7EUR) with Pavé Montois melted cheese, chicken, champignon, onion confit and herbs. Very good, although chicken tasted a bit odd like it wasn’t fresh. Not sure if it was from the cheese.

The sweet bubble Oreo (without topping/ sauce in the bottom 5.50EUR) was not hot or cool, with Chantilly cream, Oreo halfs and crumbles, strawberries and a very good consistency of vanilla ice cream.

Also available smoothies, milkshake and frappé (about 3.50EUR).

The only drawback was the fact this place got too many lamps and all turned on during a bright daylight.. why???
